Find If user is invisible on Gtalk?

Start a new chat with the intended user.
Set the chat to off the record so that it doesn’t get logged to the gmail account.
Send a message to the user. If the user is online and invisible, the message will be delivered (see picture).
If the user is offline, you will get an error message (“sajith is offline and can’t receive messages right now.“) indicating that the user is offline.

Google Talk does not provide built-in functionality to allow you to be in  idle status. There are times when you want to chat with your friends, but without letting others know about this.  So I was delighted when Gmail chat got invisible status. But invisble feature is not yet added in GTalk. Google is not giving much priority to this.
